Disciples of Ravens Vengeance is the seventh album from this long-running Spanish band that plays sharp, aggressive thrash metal. The vocals are a blackened shout that gives the songs a nice jolt of evil, like a satanic Red Bull. Musically, Omission's approach lands somewhere between a thrashy version of Metal Church (some of the vocal lines are reminiscent of David Wayne) and Ride the Lightning-era Metallica. Nothing revolutionary, but that won't stop you from banging your head to tracks like "Burn the Cross" or "Conspiracy from Murks." Sometimes you just want to hit play and thrash so if that's where your head is, Disciples of Ravens Vengeance is ready to put you in traction.
