Debut for Sarpanitum, who impressed me so much with their sophomore album Blessed Be My Brothers... in 2015. This was unsurprisingly released by Galactic Records, who also put out the superior Mithras, and while it is less original sounding than the album that followed it, it is still a high quality release. Despoilment of Origin mixes elements of Bolt Thrower crunch with hyperspeed Morbid Angel-style ripping, complete with pinch harmonics and high-speed snare work. The musicianship is class, and the songwriting is dense with interesting twists and turns that will keep you guessing in a good way. This can be hard to find, but it's worth it.
