Brazil has a lot of tradition and history when it comes to Thrash Metal. The country's endless stream of Thrash Metal acts has been a proof for all this for the last three decades. Blackened, this young four-piece band from Curitiba, Brazil, has only been around since 2012 and with Underground Attack, we have landed on the basic ground of Thrash Metal. I mean, Thrash Metal should sound aggressive, violent, brutal, in-your-face and even melodic at times, right? That's how these Brazilian do it, also playing in a shamelessly old school way. Some known/relatively known US Thrash acts, specifically bands like Sacred Reich, Vio-lence, Anthrax, Atrophy and such, seem to be the bands that inspired Blackened. The guys may not be the most talented players, but the intensity and energy levels that they have put into their songs pretty much make up for it.
