Nothing can really beat the feeling of hearing some well-made, ass-kicking, old-school Thrash Metal. German thrashers Septic Christ, a band that sadly decided to split up in February 2014, truly had an understanding of all things old-school Thrash Metal. The band's debut album, which lasts a mere 27 minutes, Infected Existence, hammers your head hard with its S.O.D./Anthrax/Nuclear Assault/Cro-Mags-tinged Thrash Metal. It is heavy, to the point and simply oozes lots of masculine energy, as old school Thrash Metal should. The riffs are full of testosterone and they attack you from every possible direction, the bass sound is very heavy and it comes through the mix loud and clear. The gruff vocals seem a bit faceless and monotonous but that does not diminish Septic Christ's attempts at thrashing your socks off much. All in all, Infected Existence offers some enjoyable moments for Thrash Metal maniacs, so if you consider yourself one of them, then you won't be disappointed. Guaranteed. |
