Guilty As We Were Born is the second and last album from relentless German thrashers Septic Christ. The band split up in February 2014, which surely saddened fans of the band.

That doesn't change the fact that Guilty As We Were Born was (and still is) a pretty kick-ass record from these German Thrash Metal maniacs. For some, Septic Christ's last album may only be the butter on the top of a slice of bread, so to speak, but man, sometimes that butter can taste better alone and that's the case with this record. Straightforward, chest-pounding and heavily riff-based old-school Thrash Metal from start to finish is what this album offers and, despite its somewhat modest sound, with no fancy instrumental masturbation, it's still very tastefully done. This is the kind of Thrash Metal record that respects the traditions of old-school Thrash.

Septic Christ didn't change anything in their musical approach from the debut, Infected Existence. If you liked their first album then I cannot see any reason why you wouldn't like their follow-up as well. It's a continuation from Infected Existence, full of honest and blistering old-school Thrash Metal.
