Russian Funeral Doom – does it get any less friendly out of the gate? This is everything you love about Funeral Doom if you are a fan – slooooow building songs with crushing riffs and bleak gargling vocals. I suppose if you don't love this kind of thing, then this has every reason why. If I have to level a complaint, it's that Septic Mind don't add any kind of originality to their formula, or really anything to make them distinct. They do this very well, but unlike great bands like Wormphlegm, Fallen, and Skumring they don't transcend the genre. Solid. |
