After a short and sweet album in 2023, Cryptic Process is back with a short and sweet EP of brutal death metal in much of the same vein, which in this case is a good thing. Most of what I said for 2023's Human Snack applies here. The occasional pig squeals and chipmunky vocals are still there, but I kind of got used to them. The growls are top-notch and sound as incisive as the music on offer. The EP is mostly a fast-paced affair, pretty much slicing and dicing your eardrums and feeding them back to you. If you like your death metal slamming you into walls and into the ground, Gulps will do just nicely.
