This is an Australian band, so it's not surprising that Malignity is filled with brutal and tight death metal. It's early '90s stuff with a modern bend and pretty much on steroids, with fast, ear-shattering drumming, squealy guitars with some razor-sharp riffage to slice what's left of your ear drums, and omnipresent deep, guttural growls. I could do without the short acoustic passages that are not uncommon on albums of the genre. I'm nitpicking here. You've heard stuff like this before, but if you can't get enough, Malignity is sure to give you an aural beating. |
