I was so taken with this band's new EP, This Side of the Grave, that I went on their Bandcamp and bought this before that 10-minute EP was even over. This was their second full-length released a couple years back, and while I don't find it as intense as their latest, it still rips. There's a definite Thrash influence on this, making it sound a bit like The Crown in among the expected Euro Death Metal flavoring. The production is solid, though it seems to lack the feral edge of the EP, and the songs have a lot of parts and variety, making for a listen that is always interesting, as they cram a lot into every song. Judging from this and the progression on their most recent release, I can hope their next full-length will be a real monster. |
