Evertale is the second album from Italy's Elettra Storm, a band that's only been around since 2023. Their brand of power metal isn't quite as neo-classical as their country of origin would lead you to assume. The music on Evertale is closer to a band like Serenity, with less focus on pomp and fantasy and more on crafting solid vocal lines and catchy melodies. The songwriting is good, so Evertale is fun and enjoyable while it is playing but it doesn't truly stand out among its peers. It might not win a whole lot of converts, but it is one of those albums that if you like fast, catchy, Euro power metal, you'll likely find it a fun listen. |
