This is a Russian band that was until recently just two guys, though they have recently added a new vocalist, and since this was released last year, I think this is still the old one. Maybe that's good, as I think the vocals are a weak point here. The base of this is melodic, moody Black Metal that verges into atmospheric territory without really sounding like what that usually means. The layering of the melodic parts and the various instruments is really well done, but the vocals are a pretty one-dimensional scratch that I mostly wish was less present in the mix. Overall I like the sound of this; even if it's not revolutionary, I find the songwriting is good enough that I keep listening to it.
