Brazil has a long tradition of kickass Heavy/Power Metal bands, from Hibria to Steel Warrior to Nordheim and other, less-known bands, but there’s a whole sound there, and Ignited are fucking doing it right with their propulsive, chugging riff-attack and first-rate recording job. There is obviously a big debt owed to classic Priest here, with the high-octane sound and vocalist Denis Lima’s wailing upper range. Sometimes he gets a little out of control, and overall the vocal lines are not as good as the riffs, but the whole makes for a powerful sound that will keep your head banging.
