First demo for this French death metal band. This is some raw and primitive, muddy and dirty death metal with raspy growls right out of a horror movie. There are a few speedy passages but where the band shines is when they slow down and get bone-crushingly heavy, triggering a hellish vibe that makes for a good menacing atmosphere that oozes pure evil—gotta love it. Those guitars just catch you in a death grip and don't let go, twisting your innards and ripping them out. Sépulcre have nailed down the style of ugly, doomy, slow crushing death metal on this demo and let's hope there's more where that came from. |
