More super-happy, pop-ish power metal from Sweden's Metalite. This time around, they opted for a concept album that exceeds one hour in length. That is long for most albums in most genres. If you're following the story along, that works for a bit, but at some point, it just becomes a long album. Your mileage may vary. They don't steer very far away from 2021's A Virtual World, so while there's a lot of cool guitar work, sometime crunchy with some squealy solos, and some powerful drumming, the keyboards and other effects are still front and centre, so you have to be able to take that. Metalite are one of the few bands that can make this sound pretty good, which is no mean feat. Erica still delivers the vocal lines in a powerful, melodic, infectious fashion. I didn't find the songs here quite as memorable and catchy this time around, which may be due to the focus on the concept. While none of the songs stuck out for me, I can't say that I found any to be skippable either. So, maybe a bit too long for the genre, yet necessary for the concept. Fans of Metalite will nonetheless be pleased.
