I'm not really familiar with Mystic Prophecy despite the number of reviews of their past albums we have on the site. It's a lot of fun, very upbeat heavy/power metal that reminds me a lot of Herman Frank and later era Accept, among others. Fast, punchy, crunchy and very melodic metal is the name of the game here. Powerful vocals, heavy guitars and drums, a full sound that makes your speakers beg for their life, Hellriot may be melodic but that in no way waters down the powerful music herein. They get a bit more "accessible" at times, reminding me of more commercial '80s heavy metal, but for the most part the album is filled with heavy/power metal that punches you in the face and makes you beg for more.
