Some decent Death Metal here, the short and sweet kind that doesn't outstay its welcome. Initially the vocals (growls) sound more like noises than growls, but fortunately it's only a few bits in the first song. The growls are kept a little bit in the background, letting the music to the talking – a good thing since this stuff is actually quite catchy (get ready for a mix of headbanging, foot-tapping and fist-raising.) Without being quite Death/Thrash, Acephalix play a rather old school form of Death Metal with guitar work that belongs a lot from Thrash. It's not pedal-to-the-metal, with a lot of diverse melodies and a good number of solos, all of which made easier to appreciate by the simple fact that Interminable Night is not the wall of noise that Death Metal often turns out to be nowadays. Lots of thrashing, cool old school abrasive riffs and just the right dose of heaviness makes this short album a lot of fun to listen to.
