The Loom of Time hail from Aberdeen, Australia. These lads started The Loom of Time in 2015, probably recording some quality demo material that eventually ended up in the hands of the owner of Aeternitas Tenebrarum Musicae Fundamentum (or better known by its short name, A.T.M.F.). This six-track effort, titledĀ Nihilreich, is a musical cocktail of subgenres of Metal: there's Black Metal, there's Thrash Metal, there's Doom Metal, some Death Metal and even some Avant-garde/Experimental Metal squeezed into The Loom of Time's hard-boiling sound that makes some people turn on their heels and head in the opposite direction, while giving a lot to digest to those who are a bit more open-minded toward some crazy sounding stuff. The Loom of Time don't let a casual listener enter into their realm of twisted sounds too easily, although this isn't overly extreme for people with the most extreme tastes. But all in all, this Australian trio has had a serious drive to do something of their very own and they have succeeded at it, reaching their goal of sounding different and unique enough. |
