"Excuse" isn't the most evil or arcane sounding name for a Blackened Thrash band but these guys from Finland don't let that stop them from whipping out some filthy and fast music on their second EP Goddess Injustice. Buzz saw riffing, thundering bass and fast-to-near-blast-beat drumming underscore venomous, growling vocals. Very early Celtic Frost is what I kept thinking each time I listened to Goddess Injustice with maybe a bit more musicianship. Short, sweet and decidedly dirty, Goddess Injustice should fit the bill if you need a quick dose of evil fun to get you going. |
