Roooaaaarrrr! Well, after going through a number of relatively "clean" Death Metal albums in recent months, this is certainly a welcome change. Abominator drink whatever is in the water in Australia and have bring bringing raw, chaotic, take-no-prisoner Death Metal to the masses for a couple of decades now. This is a compilation of early material that's even more visceral than the brutal studio albums they've been releasing since 1999. Make someone who doesn't know metal listen to this, and you can't blame them for asking, "what the hell is that noise?" Trained ears required! The raspy growls also contribute to the chaos, though if you listen close enough you can't actually decipher most of the lyrics. If raw, fast, unpolished and messy Death Metal from the land down under tickle your fancy, then Abominator are ready to make you their bitches. |
