ADX is one of the most legendary bands to come out of France, and have released 10 albums so far, Non Serviam being their latest. For those familiar with their newer albums, this one follows the same formula with catchy choruses, crunchy guitar work and penetrating and powerful drumming. Phil Grélaud sounds as good as ever with his low key and ripped vocals and the sound mix is awesome, giving every instrument special attention. Songs like "La Mort en face" and "Cosaques" are top-notch and remind me in some way of Brainstorm and Paragon, mainly in the riff department; of course, ADX have their own thing going and never drop the ball with this output. This is a very refreshing album by a band that is often overlooked by us fans. After their comeback in 2006, ADX have managed to stay in the game and recorded quality albums such as Terreurs and Ultimatum, and once again they deliver a stellar performance worthy of the band's legacy. Crunchy, fast and energetic, Non Serviam will rip your brains apart with its awesomeness. C'est très bien, oh, là là. |
