Estonian Thrash Metal troops Thrashless released their new album Cult of Fear in December 2014, their third album since they formed back in 2010. Talk about being motivated to keep the engines greased and going... What one gets on Cult of Fear is 10 songs of blistering, ripping and fast-tempo Thrash Metal that is well-crafted and tightly played. Thrashless is influenced by bands like Slayer, Destruction, Whiplash and the like and this Estonian trio definitely loves Thrash the old-school way. It’s always great to hear highly energetic Thrash where technical finesse is secondary to thrashing your heart. The bottom line is these Estonian fellows know how their Thrash Metal should sound and the result is murderously pleasing on Cult of Fear. This makes me to wonder if their two previous albums are worth checking out. Do they rule as much as Cult of Fear? That is the question on my mind now... |
