Fourth album by Aussie one-man Black/Death madman Dizazter and his band-like entity The Furor. I vaguely remember this outfit's last album War Upon Worship from back in 2011. I recall it as fun, but rather superficial. I think this one is a bit better, but it's still not anything amazing. The recording here is good, with a bass-heavy, pummelling guitar sound and a good mix. The songwriting is more varied this time out, with more dynamic and less focus on blasting. There's more of a riff-based approach here, and more melody. Again I find this enjoyable if not mandatory, but definitely a step in a good direction. |
