This is the kind of album that almost takes you back if you were around during the mid-80s. Almost because what Sister did is take the essence of a lot of "glam metal" and hard rock bands from that period, and for the most part they pumped it up – heavier, more metalized, and of course the modern production job. This has a lot in common with the likes of Mötley Crüe, mixing that band's harder beginnings with the more commercial, catchy and somewhat cheesy stuff they did in the latter half of the 80s. This is dirty slightly glam-ish metal that gets the party going and is more or less radio-friendly, nothing to be taken too seriously lyrics-wise.
At the end of the day, there isn't much here you haven't heard before from a few bands taking the same approach of "metalizing" the much-viled glam genre, and you'll either like or hate this kind of stuff. I found it relatively fun for the most part, with the only really intolerable part being the awful ballad "Would You Love a Creature." Can't. Fucking. Stand. It. People likely to be into this kind of band know who they are.
