Oh man... That's a low blow. How do these guys dare, sending me only 4 tracks of such great 80's-style metal!!! ;) Byfist were formed in 1987 and split in 1991, to re-unite in 2000. Adrenalin was produced by ex-Metal Church singer David Wayne and I do notice his touch here and there in the sound. The band has six members and, you guessed it, that means three guitarists. Very powerful guitars on this recording, and very competent and catchy solos as well. The singer seems to have a very good range based on what I hear here, his scream at the beginning of the second song "Metldown" drew a few looks from other car when I was blasting the CD in my car the other day. :)
If I had to compare the music to other bands, I'd say throw in some classic 80's acts such as Manowar, Metal Church and a little hint of Judas Priest, add in a third guitar, all mixed with tight playing resulting in four killer songs! Don't get me wrong here, Byfist are by no means a clone of those bands, their sound is actually pretty distinctive.
I could add more but it would just be more praise. Get this if you can, and hopefully they'll soon have a full-length album out to satisfy the thirst of fans of real heavy metal such as myself! Highly recommended (duh! ;))
