This is a predictable disc of Death/Thrash from India. I have run across several bands from Mumbai recently, so I guess there must be a scene going there. Devoid are not awesome or anything, but they are not bad. There's a bit of a Gothenburg feel to this, not in a melodeath way, but a sound reminiscent of At the Gates in their early days, complete with higher-pitched screamy vocals, though these are not that bad. Devoid have a lot of intensity, but their riffs are not really gripping, and the songs sound kind of dated and recycled. Decent.
