Downfall are a thrash metal band who were formed in 1990, released one demo, disbanded, and then reformed again in 2008. I for one am glad the guys in Downfall decided to get back together because this is thrash metal of the highest order. If any band were more worthy of the term thrash revival, it's Downfall. I mean these guys sound like the 80's never went away. Old school production, furious riffage that will have you dusting off your high-tops and patch jacket, and quality German-styled vocals. Sure the vocals aren't that decipherable but it just adds to the overall fun, even adding a dose of humor to the proceedings. Look no further than opener "Demotionized Autocracy" where in the chorus it seriously sounds like he's singing "coconut prophecy".

While this is merely three tracks and just over nine minutes, it's probably the most fun you can have in the said amount of time. I really hope to see a full-length from these guys soon as I don't have a bad word to say about this demo. Excellent, energetic headbanging fun that thrashes past you in the blink of the eye, thrash metal fans need to hear this. Recommended.
