This band from Belarus plays what sounds somewhat like Darkthrone and also at times like the French band Hegemon. No matter what song I'm listening to here, I get the feeling I've heard something similar before - but I've limited my listening of Black Metal in the past few months, so forgive me for not giving more accurate comparisons. ;) So we're not dealing with anything overly original here (is that still possible in this genre without resorting to crappy gimmicks?), but the band plays well and the songs are all very good, a bit on the catchy side but not too much. Pretty much mid to fast-paced stuff all along, and enough variety not to get boring. The vocals are BM screeches but they're a bit in the background relative to the music, creating an interesting effect - not unheard before, but fitting very well with the music.

There isn't much else I can add about this release other than the fact that I dig this stuff and I'll be looking forward to a full-length album. You can download the songs from the band's web site.
