Germany's Genocide is what can be called a real blasphemous Black Metal infernal trio. Just take a look at the cover art and track listing with titles like: "Crucify (the Scum)", "Spill the Blood of Christ" and the closing track "Eternal Holycaust" which is dedicated to all church burning worldwide! The booklet is also pretty blasphemous with each songs being illustrated by either war pictures or Christian icons being destroyed or molested, including the inverted cross and bastard in a few places; always nice to see!

The songs on Apocalyptic Visions have nothing extraordinary to offer other than being straightforward, vicious but melodic Black Metal. The sound is pretty good with a bit of rawness. The band considers itself old school Black Metal and, of course, blasphemers of Jesus Christ. Samplings are scattered on just about every tracks, often made of war sounds but you get some more melodious moments that include orchestration and choirs. These samplings add a theatrical touch to the overall sound. The guitar work can be pretty crushing at times with nice juicy riffs and distorted arpeggios. Every song is as good as the other but none really stands out.

Apocalyptic Visions is a good smack in the bastard's face type of Black Metal.
