I've died and gone to 1985. Upon the first spin, this album is a serious kick in the ass, 110% old school thrash style. Think Exodus and similar thrash bands - pedal to the metal, razor-sharp guitars, thundering drums and vocals that could wake up the dead - or scare wimps to death. The album is only 25 minutes long, but what a ride. Not one boring second and the music barely gives you time to take a breath - it's fast, heavy and nails you to the ground to the very last second, while the vocalist does thrash vocals the right way - clear, loud, yet harsh and aggressive, without forgetting the occasional high pitched scream that throws you off your chair. Even the album art is old school as hell, worth buying on vinyl just to stare at the friggin thing. This is definitely in the top 5 in terms of new thrash bands that do it the old school way. Buy. |
