I'm not sure we really need more Melodeath bands, but if we must have more, they can at least be as good as this band. Subliminal Fear are a terribly generic band playing N'FLAMEZ/Children Of Boredom worship, but at least they are good at it. There is nothing on this disc that you have not heard 50,000 times before, but at least Subliminal Fear write decent riffs and know how to put a song together. The production is quite good for a demo, and the band is professional and tight. I can't think of much else to say about this disc. This is perfectly good melodeath played by a competent band, but in such an overloaded genre, I don't know what they can really accomplish.
