You've just got to love it when you make a blind purchase that turns out to be pretty damn good. I saw an ad for this album in the French metal magazine "Metallian" and liked the description, so I went ahead and ordered it. Motörhead meets Tankard-style Thrash is probably the shortest and most accurate description for these German's style. Fast, heavy pounding guitars and relentless drumming are pretty much the trademark here, with some occasional slower, more lightweight numbers thrown in so you can catch your breath. The singer can sound a bit monotonous in the long run since his delivery is quite "one-dimensional", but still somehow if fits the music in the grand scheme of things. Holy Moses vocalist Sabina Classen guests on the cover of "Please Don't Touch" - can't say I'm much into that one, somehow I don't think anyone can top the one that Motörhead and Girlschool did. The lyrical content is overall on the lighthearted, funny side (very Tankard-like) and some of the songs managed to bring a smile to my face whenever I listened to them. Here's a band that doesn't take itself too seriously but manages to pound the living crap out of you. Hey, sometimes it's just what the doctor ordered.

The US version of the album clocks in at over an hour with the addition of a cover of Sodom's "Outbreak of Evil", but it always feels like it's much shorter than that. The sound could have been a bit more raw, sometimes it feels a bit too clean, but this rocks so much that you get over it pretty quick. I'd rather not think about how many times I've listened to this since I got it, but it has monopolised my CD player for several full work days. Downright addictive. Thrash 'n Roll!
