Toxic Holocaust is a one-man band that plays no-frills, basic old school Thrash. No wankery here, no attempt at mixing various sounds, just pure unadultered, satanic and war-themed Thrash. There isn't much to complain about here, except maybe the intro and outro which take up nearly three minutes on a somewhat short album, and the song "Exxxecutioner" which, unlike the rest of the album, is kind of forgettable. No matter how much I listen to the album, this is the only one that doesn't leave a lasting impression, even though on the moment it's quite an headbangable number. The rest of the album, however, is practically flawless thrash with very harsh vocals. Songs like "War Is Hell" and "Summon The Beast" are instant winners, while the others might take a couple more listens to grow on you. The recipe is deceptively simple: Basic thrash, a few wicked solos, some repetitive and addictive riffs coupled with vocals that'll scare the trendy shit out of you. The quality of the material makes up for the short length.

The Witches Brew label and Thrash go hand in hand together, and "Evil never Dies" is just one more proof of this. Anyone into old school raw thrash should get ahold of this one. Like most Witches Brew titles, this is limited to 1000 copies, so get to it, will ya?
