This band has apparently been around for like 15 years, just now getting a debut released. This is a Finnish band with a Spanish name and the kind of rough sound and oddball lyrical focus that calls to mind early Manilla Road or Brocas Helm. This is loose, messy stuff with an infectious energy but little polish. Bassist/vocalist "Alvarado" isn't the strongest singer, but they seem to know that, and good use of echo and backing vocals papers over his more obvious limitations. There is a definite epic vibe at work here, and fans of classic Manilla Road as well as Battle Ram or Heavy Load will find this album hitting the right spots. |
