Fifth album for Whipstriker, though I'd previously heard only its predecessor, 2018's Merciless Artillery. Venom worship is what this album comes down to. They don't only wear their influences on their sleeves, but also their socks and probably their underwear. The vocals could easily have been on early Venom albums. Gotta love the raw and demonic but catchy vocal delivery. Musically the album is also very similar to early Venom; again, some of this stuff could have found its place on the early albums, though more than once Whipstriker crank things up to 11 with a massive shot of metallic adrenaline. I remember some annoyances on Merciless Artillery, but Cry of Extinction is just plain headbanging, black 'n' rolling fun.
