Death-tinged thrash metal is what San Jose's Dungeon Crawl play on their second Dungeons & Dragons-inspired album, Maze Controller. It is an album long on speed, buzzing guitars and screamy vocals and not much in the way of catchiness or variety, so it goes by in a noisy blur and even after half a dozen spins, I can't remember a thing about it, other than it sounds fine and the musicians go at the material with hammers and tongs. I don't hate it but neither can I think of many reasons to seek it out unless you can't get enough D&D in your life and you need it to infiltrate everything, including your music.
