This is a German band who sound Swedish, because they are obviously aiming for that. This is crunching, heavy Death Metal in the classic Entombed mode, with less of the weird, involved melodies of Clandestine and more straight-ahead bruising. There's not really more to say about this than that, except that in a sea of Entombed imitators, Denomination stand out through sheer unrepentant heaviness highlighted by a killer production and tight performances. You've heard this before, and you'll like it just as well this time. |
