This is a one-man band who has been incredibly prolific, cranking out six albums and several EPs and splits in about six years. Obviously inspired by the likes of Sodom and Kreator in the old days, Lucifuge serves up fistfuls of riffs and a lot of attitude. The drawbacks here are largely the same they have been for this band's past works: the production is a little too smooth and doesn't have enough grit, the riffs are solid but rarely better than that, and the songs all sound a lot alike. That said, I like this one better than Monoliths of Wrath, as it sounds a lot more like old Desaster stuff like Stormbringer. A good time.
