I was a fan of this band's previous release, and I'm happy to report that their latest album, Los cultos del ghoul (which roughly translates as The Ghoul Cults) is more of the same without any loss in quality. In fact, I think they remind me more of Sadistic Fucking Intent than they did last time, with a bit more of classic Death thrown in to even out the Adramelech and Demigod influences. The songs are raw, fast, and violent as all hell, complemented by old-fashioned production that fits like a bloody glove and the ravenous vocals of Custer, whose blackened David Vincent-esque style strike like a rusted inverted cross into the guts of Jesus Christ. There's not much more to it than that, and that simplicity combined with savagery and skill make that a huge compliment in my book. Not to be missed.
