This is a band so new they don't even have a Metal Archives page yet, but the band members are veterans and the music on offer is pretty fucking kickass. This is a sound definitely more linked to Thrash or Melodeath, with hard-edged, stomping riffs. The members come from third-string bands like Civil War and Tuck From Hell, with the biggest name being vocalist Nils Patrik Johansson, also of Astral Doors and Lion's Share, who ended up here because—get this—his son is the band's drummer. Nepotism aside, this has a crunchy sound that tells you they were originally thinking of harsher vocals, and it creates a different feel that I like, as you don't often hear melodic singing with this kind of thrashy attack. Johansson is working a harder-edged vocal style, though he does get a bit nasal. The whole sound really comes together with energetic songwriting and a rock-solid production. A strong debut.
