Some brutal symphonic black metal is what this German band offers. It's very much in the vein of blazing-fast, blasting, heavy and over-the-top black metal from the second wave and it looks like these guys weren't aiming for anything that colours outside of those lines. As such, there aren't any surprises here. Croaky raspy vocals and demented screams that pierce through the speakers, busy razor-sharp guitars and thundering drums that placate the room with utter sonic destruction, and a good dose of keyboards to make this a tiny bit "friendlier" (haha). Speaking of which, the keyboards are not abused on the album, leaving plenty of room to fully take in the destruction laid out by the other instruments. Nice. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
