Nothing surprising here, it's exactly what you expect from the artwork alone: Fast, aggressive, party-ish thrash with blazing riffs, more headbanging moments than your neck can handle, and lots of silly but fun lyrics. The vocals are closer to death growls than one would expect, however, but they're a good fit even though they could be a turn-off for those who are usually fans of this type of music. I think I hear some short-lived pig squeals on "Hangover from Hell," which is weird, but what the hell, it's been a weird year. As I implied earlier, this is musically pretty standard stuff in terms of thrash, largely rooted in '80s "party thrash," and I don't even bother taking points off for that these days because in the end the important thing is that it's well done, and Endlevel do a great job of thrashing like maniacs and it's hard to keep still while listening to just about any song here, and your air instruments will need some good rest once the album is over. |
