I didn't expect this when I saw the band's name. This is solid, melodic, crunchy heavy metal with dark yet catchy and earworm-ish vocals. This is largely old school, with some guitar passages sounding like a mix of early-80s AC/DC and some commercial-ish U.S. heavy metal from the mid-80s; the kind of sound that triggers some old memories. While a good chunk of the album is quite melodic, there is nonetheless some crushing and pounding heavy metal to be found here. It's a fun album with the same kind of vibe that bands that didn't take themselves too seriously were putting out in the '80s, the kind of stuff that brings life to the party.
