Debut for this German band who are digging in the Emperor/Limbonic Art vein of symphonic, key-backed Black Metal. This style has not been as easy to find lately, so it's kind of welcome to hear it, even if it is a '90s throwback at this point. I guess the metal scene has moved from strictly '70s-80s nostalgia to including the '90s as well. I enjoy this, but the songs are not really very distinct, so this has a feel like one long song, when it could really stand to change up the sounds a little to give the mood some variance. This is done pretty well, but I have heard better and so have you. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
