Debut from this Danish band playing bludgeoning Death Metal more in the vein of South American-styled bands than the more melodic Euro school. This band has a tendency to play slower and more dirg-ey, which is too bad as they often sound better when they speed up and sound more like Krisiun. When they play slow, they seem to be drawing on a definite Runemagick vibe, but they don't have the riffs to really pull it off. The guitar sound is decent but nothing especially stands out about the recording. The songs are all quite similar and they tend to keep hammering down on the same riffs until they are overdone, which makes the songs seem longer than they are. Not great, not terrible. |
