This band has members of Stormwitch except for the vocalist, which explains why some of the playing sounded familiar when I first listened to it. This is very upbeat, catchy heavy metal that mixes both hard-hitting, crunchy rockers and much more accessible tracks that are less likely to scare the uninitiated. Some ballads here remind me of the good ones that some hair metal bands did back in the ‘80s, super catchy singalong stuff that could get some radio airplay. The high-pitched vocals are insanely infectious and a lot of vocal lines and choruses just get stuck in your head. There’s even a bit of Priest-like riffage on here, which catches my attention every time and I could swear one of the riffs reminds me of a song by Canada’s Cauchemar (as usual, I can’t remember which one). I like how the guys have mixed ‘80s-style metal with modern German power metal, it’s a best of both worlds kind of thing. Check this out if you’re looking for fun, upbeat, insanely catchy heavy metal.
