This is the first release for this band formed in 2008. It's atmospheric, but "busy" black metal, not the relaxing kind sometimes synonymous with atmospheric. It's dark and a little melancholic, with lyrical content based on The Lord of the Rings if you're so inclined on deciphering the lyrics (not exactly a small feat), and it has the kind of epic, ancient vibe that you'd expect from music based on that. It's only 13 minutes but I found the music quite absorbing; they've really come up with something that reaches the listener. Hopefully they've got a full-length in the same vein in the oven.
