I’ve really enjoyed everything I’ve heard from Maniac Abductor so far, and their latest album, Damage is Done, is no exception to that rule. In fact, it does just about everything I would want it to as it plays aggressive, unforgiving, in-your-fukken-face thrash with face-ripping riffs and fiery speed while also displaying some melody as needed, all wrapped up in a crisp, punchy production job. There’s really not much more to say, for this is a band that remembers that the big selling point in the old days was youthful energy and snarling aggression that’ll cause a mosh pit and leave pieces of teeth, bone, and limbs scattered everywhere and hits the nail on its bloodied little head. Killer shit from a killer band. |
