This is some pretty good progressive-tinged heavy metal with a clean, crisp sound and this is really what I call "easy-listening metal" as it doesn’t rock the house too hard and is likely to also appeal to some rock and hard rock fans and not necessarily sending people rushing to the emergency exits. The songs are mostly upbeat with some a little more melancholic. There’s an obvious Iron Maiden influence in the songwriting, some guitar work, and at times the bass makes you wonder if Harris plays on this. Overall, pretty solid melodic metal. |
