Dragonhammer are one of those bands who have been so generic and so forgettable for so long that I am surprised they still exist at all. This is their fifth album in a 24-year career that features almost nothing worth getting excited about. Two decades past the heyday of Italian Power Metal, these guys keep plugging away. There's nothing wrong with this, it's just bland and unremarkable, and it would have been bland and unremarkable even back when there were a million bands like this. Here and there a decent melody will pop up, and the playing and production are decently polished, but there's just not anything that stands out. |
