This band formed in 2019 but it is only in 2022 that they released this first EP, after three singles that were all released this year as well (all three singles are on the EP). This starts off a little "off" and sounding a little inoffensive, but it doesn't take much time before the kitten turns into a roaring tiger. You won't find anything especially original here as the band obviously worships '80s heavy metal, but they do it right and it's a lot of fun. There's a good mix of lighthearted melodic metal to draw in the unsuspecting masses to much faster, crunchier and heavier metal that's bound to trigger a mosh pit worthy of the deadliest metal. Some songs are downright speed metal and you'll mess up your neck trying to headbang along. The clear, high-pitched vocals are infectious and just invite you to sing along. I'm reminded a bit of Canada's Metalian's faster stuff when they go all guns blazing, so it's pretty much guaranteed fun. It's a shame it's only 20 minutes, but it's a quality 20 minutes. |
